Act right

I'm gonna lose more friends..............

Jordan Peterson is a professor in Toronto who has taken a hard stand on an issue that I have personally bumped up against. The issue is that he refuses to use any made up pro-nouns to describe these Social Justice Warrior gender defying snowflakes.
I’ll explain it better. There are a group of people, and this group is growing day by day, who believe that sex is a societal construct. They believe that sex is fluid and not set. Because gender is not set the use of HER or HIM is offensive and can be either a micro-aggression (another snowflake made up chunk of shit that shows how over sensitive some people are).
Here is a small example of the pro-nouns we re supposed to use:

HE/SHE
HIM/HER
HIS/HER
HIS/HERS
HIMSELF/HERSELF
zie
zim
zir
zis
zieself
sie

hir

eir
eirs
eirself
ve
ver

vers
verself
tey
ter
tem

I got that from the Universtiy of Wisconsin. I refuse to use any of those and because I refused to use any of them I was booted from Facebook for a week. I was accused of hate speech for not using speech. So I guess I was accused of love speech…...or not.
I refuse to use them because the simple scientific fact is that there are two genders. Male and Female. Two of them and the fact is if you pull your pants down and do not see a cock, no matter how small if it’s there it is there and that means you are a boy. If you look down and your cock is non-existent and actually looks like a piece of baguette with a slice down the center that is a vagina or va-jay jay and you are a girl. Now, if you feel like you are a man trapped in a woman’s body or vice versa you are confused mentally and are in the grip of a real life disorder. Gender Identity Disorder is a real life disorder.
Gender dysphoria is classified as a disorder under dual role transvestism in the 2017 ICD-10 CM. GID was reclassified to gender dysphoria by the DSM-5. Some transgender people and researchers support declassification of GID because they say the diagnosis pathologizes gender variance, reinforces the binary model of gender, and can result in stigmatization of transgender individuals. The official reclassification as gender dysphoria in the DSM-5 may help resolve some of these issues, because the term gender dysphoria applies only to the discontent experienced by some persons resulting from gender identity issues. The American Psychiatric Association, publisher of the DSM-5, states that "gender nonconformity is not in itself a mental disorder. The critical element of gender dysphoria is the presence of clinically significant distress associated with the condition."

So science is on my side on this one. Now you can feel free to call me a homophobe or transphobic and I will quickly tell you to go and fuck yourself sideways. Because if you used the DSM 5 you will see there is no such a diagnosis for homophobia or an irrational fear of homosexuals. I fear no man, I have had my ass kicked before and so what else is a man going to do to me that I need to be afraid of? The mere idea of fearing someone because they are gay is ignorant outright and I could really give a shit who people love. Not my business and never would be. Transphobic falls into the same category so calling these names at people is stupid because it doesn’t exist. It’s like when Afro-centric assholes call me White and then find out I am not White. I wasn’t offend when they called me White and could give a right damn what their opinion is anyways.

Back to Jordan. I am with him 100% about people forcing others to use language that is not real in order to push a social agenda. That is authoritarianism and that is how fascism comes a calling. The liberals and especially the left LOVE Marxism and swear that Marxism is great if and only it was given a proper chance. Ignore the abject failures of Russia and Cambodia and China (40 million dead on the less side of the stats in the ‘great leap forward’ that Mao introduced). I caught on when I read the article explaining why so many students were pissed at professor Peterson. I read about it on a left leaning blog and that was where I noticed the agenda to get me to accept transgender people as the pro-noun that they wanted to be called. Instantly the alarms went off and I read deeper into the subject and saw that yeah, 10 hours of plastic surgery, name change, and ‘coming out’ as Caitlin didn’t make you a hero, or a woman, or anything other than an ugly looking White woman who has the money to indulge himself in fucked up fantasy. Then again if I had been having sex with the Kardashian hell spawn queen there is no telling what I may have done to myself.

Back to Jordan and where he and I split. At Yale a year or so back a directive from the Intercultural Affairs Committee advised students to be more sensitive (HATE that word when it comes to college’s but that is another blog) when dressing up for Halloween. To stay away from anything “Cultural – Native Americans, stereotypical “Mexicans” or “Ghetto” as it would cause psychological disruption. Erika Christa is a expert in early childhood education at Yale and she wrote that the e-mail directive was giving negative consequences to students ceding “implied control” over Halloween costumes to institutional forces. She wonders if there was room for people to be “a little bit obnoxious” or “provocative and a little bit inappropriate”.

Jordan had a HUGE problem with this. He thinks people should be able to dress as they want and fuck your emotions. Here is the big issue with that. If you want to dress in exaggerated form and paint your face Black and call yourself “ghetto” then by all means do so, however you are a racist piece of shit for doing so and should be outed and ridiculed for
1.) Going to Yale and making piss poor decisions based on your own bigotry
2.) Being a bigot without a shred of sense
If you can’t find the problem of dressing like an Indian – actual ethnic group- and a cowboy – a job description then I question how the hell you got into Yale let alone a fucking Burger King.
Jordan thinks there is nothing wrong with it and people are being too sensitive. Now I am against, vehemently against, “safe spaces” and any such nonsense but when it comes to the above situation it is NOT about infringing on anyone rights. It is common decency and there is where the real issue is.
White people, as a general rule, are selfish (only thinks of themselves), rude (only thinks of themselves), arrogant (only thinks that they are ‘rightful’ about any situation and or program).
Read this as a history lesson:
CIVIL RIGHTS WERE CREATED NOT TO ENSURE AND DELIVER RIGHTS TO PEOPLE OF COLOR BUT TO TEACH WHITE PEOPLE HOW TO ACT.
And the bullshit they pull by gerrymandering districts, pipelines to prison, sub-par education, food deserts, unemployment, under-employment, police brutality and the list goes on and on and includes many more abuses of not only our humanity but our very right to exist. Dressing up as a ‘pimp’ and your girlfriend as a ‘ho’ pokes fun, from a place where this is only a reality when you drive into town to get weed or as an adventure to show your out of town relatives how close you are to the “ghetto”, and there is not a shred of reality in your own life. The students at Yale should not have been told to not dress as a ethnic group, it’s a fucking shame that they had to in the first place. The fact that students of color had to once again stop what they are doing and try to get White people to understand where they are wrong is frustrating on a level that only a activist of color can understand.
Jordan Peterson is a respectable professor but on this he is wrong and can go fuck himself just like Trump.
Go punch a Nazi and then leave a comment.

I'm not marching anymore

Myth of Brown and Black
or
Justice or Else – NOTHING

I admit a few things right off of the bat. I was immensely influenced by Public Enemy as a teenager and thus I was intrigued by this cat name Louis Farrakhan that was mentioned a few times in different songs from PE. Unlike most of my friends when something interested me I did some research so I did some research on Farrakhan. That led me to re-reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X. Great book that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to see how a person can grow from a starting point of negative 10 into a man who has convictions, convictions so great that he is actually willing to sacrifice his life for them.
Admittedly everything I read about Louis Farrakhan came from The Final Call because the new media was just not covering him and when they did they specifically covered a speech and not much about him in a personal way. I did get a hold of a lot of coverage about him and Jesse Jackson during the presidential race and he was like an attack dog for Jesse. I also remember Abraham Foxman from the ADL calling him a Hitler and a Hitler lover. Nothing about this guy was ever light. He was unapolotigically pro-Black an I wished we had a Brown counterpart. A Brown man who didn’t kiss White ass or look to be be brothers with Whites. A Brown man who’s main concern was Brown people and more importantly Brown future. Not being allied with Whites and the constant need to cheer lead “good Whites” and ally ship and all of that with Whites. I wanted a Brown man who spoke about Whites giving us hell, White governmental policies, White supremacy and it’s effects on the reservation and on the lives of Indians and Brown people in the inner city. We did not then, and still do not have that guy. I admired Farrakhan because he could face down White people and not act contrite or apologetic. I liked that he was fiery and he could admit we have an open enemy. He often spoke about Indians and Brown folks as family. He was/is smooth. When he spoke f Blacks he had a knack for speaking with an inclusion of Brown people. I was quick to sign up! I brought tons of tapes (back in the late 80’s this was a major way for the message to get out) and his books and even a few VHS tapes. When I began to hang out more and more after pow wow’s and when I joined a drum group I would turn the discussion to political subjects and intersperse these talks with Farrakhan points. Some of the brothers dug it and we could have in depth conversations on political activity for hours and then of course some milquetoast brother would come in and spring some hippie-one love-we-are-all-related shit into the mix and set the whole conversation back onto what it the “Indian way” and the things I was saying and thinking was NOT the “Indian Way”.
Which Indians this particular “way” was coming from was never expressed but it was sure not PRO-Indian because that was too close to being superior which I could never figure out. I would often never get a clear response when I would ask “If We all want to work to be equal to Whites then who the hell are Whites equal too?”
I also was on the tip the White people are the devil. Actual genetic devils. Grafted devils by a mad scientist who had an experiment go horribly wrong. Think of a scientist making and trying to re-animate people and them coming “alive” and getting out. The beginning of every bad zombie movie ever made right? According to Nation of Islam theology this is correct. Yakub made science experiments with “light” Black folks and before you know it he had White people and before you know it they were so wicked and out of control the took over the Earth! (Google – Yakub the big head scientist for yourself).
There was a Million Man March in 1995 and it was spectacular! Over a million Black men ended up in Washington DC to hear and do something. SOMETHING. All day long speakers came and went and spoke of self love, love of kind, building business, ending violence, loving one another and fixing communities and relationships. Farrakhan spoke for over 3 hours. Men cried and hugged and the vibe was loving, light and powerful. For all of the lip service that so man in the ION give to “family” of the Black, Brown, Red and Yellow, this was strictly a BLACK march. I went because so many of the members of the Nation were brothers of mine and I even held a sweat lodge ceremony for the main minister and his two assistants of Muhammad’s Mosque number 1 in Detroit. It was powerful.
Flash forward to 2015 and I was invited to be hands on involved in the Justice or Else march. I was to help gather Indians and Latino’s and work with Abel Muhammad, the Latino representative of the NOI and Yonasda Lonewolf, a sweet heat of a woman who is half Lakota and hlaf Black. We had rallies, many many phone conferences and such going on.
It was great at first, we had a clear focus of what we wanted to happen that day. Jay Night wolf, a supposed Indian radio show host was on board as was a number of well known Indian activists. I mostly stayed quiet and listened. I didn’t know Jay and had to do some homework on him. Warrior Woman was also there as was “Chief” Ernie Long walker. He I had heard of from the “Longest walk” number one back in 1978. Warrior Woman was his wife but I still until this day do not know their tribe.
Social media being what it is, I “met” some of the people on the conference calls by Facebook and noticed something particular. They were Black skin. I am not saying that there are no Black skin Indians, I’m calling us NDN’s from now on, hell I am related to some Black skin ndn people just like I am related to some White skin ndn’s. I don’t consider them Black NDN’s or White NDN’s I consider them NDN. If there is any such a athing as a “ndn way” THAT is a fucking ndn way.
All during the conversations leading up to the march we were told over and over that the day was NOT to be about music and dancing and such. We were there to be serious. NDN people are a musical people because we are Original people and dancing and music is the start of ALL gatherings and ceremonies so some was to be expected but ti was not to be overblown. That was a directive. The conference calls went to shit and I stopped participating when the delegation from Haiti was put with us and all of the conversations became about the state of Haiti and what the terrible things that were taking place in Haiti. All discussion of ICE, of pipelines, of sacred land, of Brown political prisoners, all came to a halt so we could listen, not even discuss, the situation in Haiti. To be honest I gave up. This was something that many elders and especially my dear, most favorite, and sadly departed elder, Thurman Bear, warned and told me about.
When dealing with Black leadership, be careful as to how much give you give during give and take. They can be worse than paternalistic White Liberals because they will just take from you, push you to the side to be tokenized and then take over whatever mutual endeavor you may have had in mind” Another great elder and famous MC in the Michigan Pow Wow Trail was Tiq Bush and he damn near told me the same exact thing back in 1993 at the EMU Pow Wow. I ha seen signs of it but I was hoping against hope it wasn’t true but I'll be damned if it wasn’t.
I had four chances to go to the Justice or Else march free of charge and with a ride and place to stay. After prayer, not a lot of prayer, and the smallest amount of meditation I chose to stay home even though I put a lot of work into it. Here are a few reasons:
1.) I was asked to speak to the mosque. To it’s children. NOT to it’s adults but to it’s kids like a special treat. My information is not formatted for children, I don’t deliver speeches to children and I am not a token for the kids,
2.) I was invited to speak to the general population but was to invited for Sunday’s because ‘Sunday’s are more spiritually orientated’. Can you think of an NDN speaker that would NOT include spiritual language in a speech? I can’t speak public ally on anything having to do with NDN people and not mention our spirituality. That was a slap on the face.
3.) I was invited to speak on a Wednesday and when I got there, no one was there to open the door, it was not going to be recorded, a small handful of members showed up and mostly members of the Brown community, hardly any Muslims were there. The topic was “The Real Thanksgiving”
4.) I was invited to speak before Farrakhan only after asking Yonasda why there was no Brown representative speaking before him in Detroit, She spoke to Ishmael Muhammad and I got a whole 4 minutes.
When I watched the march collectively all the ndn’s got six minutes. SIX FUCKING MINUTES. Orville Looking Horse, the holder of the Sacred Pipe, was given two minutes to speak so that Warrior Woman could chant “DOWN DOWN U.S.A.” And Jay Nightwolf, member of a fraudulent Cherokee Tribe, of which there are over 200, spoke for 2 minutes. Listen to the speech he gave, Warrior Woman gave and Long walker gave. It’s pablum. Fully of fury and injustice delivered in a boiling crescendo of hate yet it is, like pablum, just filler. Nothing of substance in which as a collective we can gather behind and say with authority, “THIS IS OUR AGENDA”. Nothing like that.
Like the first Million Man March, there was nothing we could collectively walk away from and say,”THIS” is what we learned and this is the path we will take as a collective union and bring ourselves out of the muck and mire we are stuck in. Fuck the Republicans and the Democrats we are starting new and better yet, TOGETHER as the Original people of Turtle Island and Earth.”
Nope. We did get Cleo Malango who is called the “Gay Malcolm X” which I can personally tell you makes his daughters extra happy. We got some gospel screaming, it was screaming, and it was just horrendous. Of course we were not supposed to have that and Orville could have used that time to give a real substantive speech about unity, spirituality and love but no, he was given two minutes so that a woman could scream and damn near lose her wig about Jesus alienating ¾ of the audience.
A year later ask yourself what was accomplished? Some NOI members were at Standing Rock but I can tell you, that like many others that went there, it becase more of a destination to prove your “radicalism” more than it became a place to go and support the warriors there. It was a means of somehow getting a manner of legitimacy that you are “in”. There are stories coming out of White’s looting camps when the members were out taking care of business. Of some NDN’s coming in and instantly hustling social media for money and other “needs”. Inter-tribal squabbles taking place and then getting out of hand. There are videos of Black Afro-Centrics who claim to be “real Indigenous” people to this land, and we, the Brown NDN’s being actual 5 dollar ndn’s and not the real Creator given NDN’s of Turtle Island. (There are rumors that White’s gave members of the Dawes commission five dollars to be included on the rolls so that they could receive benefits. So when a Afro-Cent calls you a ‘five dollah ndn’ they are calling you White so fuck them).
The march was a failure. This Woman’s march may have given you a euphoric high just like the Million Man March did and the Justice or Else march did but as yourself.
WHAT ARE THE TANGIBLE RESULTS?
If you decide that this is the last straw and you want to un-friend me then please do but do me the favor of at least telling me why or don’t. I’m not sweating it.

Punch a Nazi! (?)

Can I punch Nazis?
I don’t know. Can you?
I am capable of the act, yes.
Then you should.
May I?
The answer to that is also yes.
My mother told me that violence was never the answer.
My mother told me I was handsome; you can’t always listen to your mother.
What happened to letting the other guy throw the first punch?
Nazis don’t throw the first punch. Nazis burn the first Reichstag.
Aren’t the Left supposed to be the tolerant ones?
Supposed to be the smart ones, too, but they keep falling for that “I thought you were supposed to be the tolerant ones” horseshit.
What about dialogue?
Dialogue is for reasonable people acting in good faith. Dialogue is between two acceptable positions. “Taxes need to be raised” vs. “taxes need to be lowered” is grounds for dialogue. “Taxes need to be raised” vs. “Jews should be thrown in ovens” is grounds for a beating.
But isn’t this sinking to their level?
That depends. After you punch the Nazi, do you espouse the tenets of National Socialism?
No.
Then you’re better than a Nazi.
But doesn’t this just give the other side ammunition?
The other side in this argument are lying fucks who can twist any piece of information into a swastika-shaped balloon animal if you engage them in good faith; lacking a piece of information, they’ll just make shit up. Might as well punch a Nazi.
What about peace, love, and understanding?
Great goals, and once we get rid of the Nazis we can get to work on them. All three are completely impossible when Nazis are about.
When should you punch a Nazi?
Whenever you get a chance. Preferably when they’re not looking.
What if they’re smaller than you?
Hit them with your fist.
What if they’re bigger?
Hit them with a bat.
Isn’t this a slippery slope?
After we defeated the Nazis in World War II, did we keep shooting people or did the troops come home and start having babies?
The second thing.
There you go. The slippery slope argument is nine times out of ten bullshit. Human beings are good with slippery slopes: we build stairs.
What if you think you’re punching a Nazi, but you just hit a white guy with a shitty haircut?
Run.
What should you do if you hit a Nazi?
You should run then, too. Don’t get me wrong: punching Nazis is still illegal. We’re discussing morality.
But I don’t want to punch anyone.
Then get off your duff, mister, and give aid and support to the boys folks on the front lines. We’re all in this together. Again.

This is some EXCITING times we living in!!!

OH WHAT EXCITING TIMES WE BE IN!!!

Oh man, I want to say that Trump is a frickin God send! We area in some exciting times. He is going to straight up toss the constitution aside and make way for a raging fascist society. One part of fascism that people seem to forget is the corporate part of it. There has to be a component where a company, of global scale, is helping to dictate policy in the nation.

The Muslim ban is simple:
Refugees are required a two year vetting process
Ammosexuals (Gun rights people) say that a three day waiting period is too long
A registry is a good idea for Muslims but it is a horrible idea for Guns, it is downright Unconstitutional! See, I can see what the real problem is. It’s Brown people. It’s non-Christian people. It’s people who do not speak an acceptable (read: European) foreign language.

Trump has 100% support from the KKK and he loved it. Those ignorant cousin fucking pigs hold the same views. He is a bigot and we all know it. The media pretends that he isn’t while trying to walk a fine line of exposing him as is and reporting what might be. Politics has invaded every single persons life in America. With the threat of deportation comes the fright of a family being torn apart.

Trump’s election is what Van Jones so eloquently described as a “White-lash” against Obama. The sweeping in of Republican’s in such a way shows that White America was pissed off about 8 years of Obama and his Black ass! In reality Obama didn’t do jack shit for Black and Brown people, he did all types of wonder for Gays. If Clinton was the first Black president then Obama was the first Gay president. White America came out to the polls because of the ludicrous nature of the left and what they percieve as injustices. The left has gone way off of the deep end expecting everyone to fall in line to their stupid ideology. Don’t get me wrong, ideology of any and all kind is stupid and unnecessary. Gay rights have taken heavy leaps while it seems that the oppression of Brown and Black people has risen to new heights. The murders of Native men and women and Black men and women by the police and even regular citizens that have gone unpunished. The Unemployment rate and the jobs that did open were not sufficient to live on. The Flint water crisis, the Dakota Access Pipeline and the overall destruction of the inner city. Chicago has become a war zone, one in which Trump has threatened to send in the Feds. The discovery of a secret prison in Chicago. All of this under Obama’s watch. I’m sorry I voted for that asshat. I didn’t expect White folks to be so damn angry that they would seriously consider a con-man like Trump let alone vote his vile cheeto colored bitch ass into the oval office! 34% of White women voted Trump while he got damn near zero Black vote. The people who ushered him in were White and or Social Justice Warriors who wanted Bernie so bad that they sat at home or voted for the vanity candidate that was Jill Stein. She was laughable. That bitch never stood a chance and anyone who voted for her, worked for her, or did anything for her campaign is a dumbass who helped usher in Trump.

Muslim registry, a wall on the border of Mexico, deportations, tax cuts for the 1% and businesses, a military display of weapons down Pennsylvania Avenue and lord knows what else is what we have in store for us in the next four years. All of this is a repudiation of the last 8 years. Trump is what we get when White Americans think that they are losing control and influence. It’s White panic, the majority of it is racist in nature of course, but that’s too easy an answer to just say it is racism. It is a push back against what has been percieved as forward strides in race relations. Obama is at fault for the racial divide in this nation in so far as he happened to be the Black guy who became the first Black president. Republicans are at fault for the vitriol and the seething hate that comes from most of the right wing. Republicans made no effort to hide their disdain for Obama and they even proudly announced themselves as the “party of no” and they didn’t give two shits how it affected their constituents. They are truly a sick group of people and they deserve hatred.

Wha???

Let me get this right.
Cops from 5 states who are paid with our extorted tax dollars, attacked water protectors with water cannons in 23 degree weather for over 6 hours. In the meantime they blew a woman’s arm apart, shot a 13 year old girl in the face, damn near killed a tribal elder, injured over 300 and sent 30 to the hospital then lied about it all the while protecting an big oil conglomerate that is poisoning the earth.

The water protectors are patient and non-violent. To be non-violent in the face of violence is not sensible. We can pray for our enemy, and they are the enemy – of EVERYONE one Earth – but we do not have to be prey to our enemy. These devils, deceivers and deceitful people, are violent an scared. They are afraid of us. We are the worst nightmare of the White man and his money. We are people who know whose we are as well as who we are, We know that we must gather our own forces for good and come forward and be ready to sacrifice whatever is necessary in order to ensure that our future generations have a home to go to.

Trump wins!

Want proof that God has removed his protective hedge from USA Inc? Donald Trump is president. A reality show star and a guy who was once in a Wrestlemania match is now in charge of USA Incorporated! Of course I am being factious about the God and his protective hedge thing, the rest of it is totally true.
Hate win, racism wins, and fear wins. Liberals had a hissy fit and said they would protest Hillary by voting third party because Bernie wasn't on the ballot. They thought that Hillary would win and see the amount of votes that Jill Stein or the Libertarian guy won and switch up some of her positions. Being liberals they were dead ass wrong. I saw this before. Most of us saw this. George Bush got into the White House this way. Ralph Nader was at fault last time, this time it was because Clinton maneuvered her way past Bernie and when she fucked him she fucked us all. Now we have Middle School kids in Royal Oak chanting, "BUILD THE WALL, BUILD THE WALL!" and we have:

This guy punched a Black child at a rally in Portland.

DAY ONE. This is how it all starts. THIS is what America deserves.

This is our president making fun of a handicapped person.

Yeah, White people revolted big time. They were so pissed there was a Black man in the White House for the last 8 years that they fell in love with this low life bastard who grabs women by "the pussy". Republicans now run both the house and the senate and the presidency. Last time that happened the Great Depression happened.
White liberals and progressives are insulated from the hate because when it gets too hot they can cut their hair, stop using patchouli and put on ties and pant suits. Plenty of them will do so, there will be some who consider themselves enlightened and continue to join in on protests and write to congress.
Oh man,so many people were outraged at Donald and his antics and yet here he is, the 45th president. USA didn't do anything but show the world what they really are. A pack of uneducated, xenophobic, cowardly, hateful bottom feeding scumbags. People of color who do not coon for White folks have known this since we could be on our own in public. No surprise really, we live this shit. The fact that it is now back out front is what irritates me. There was a time when Whites acted like they didn't think racist thoughts and would act like they were civil but they had these deep deep seated feeling of contempt for anyone different from themselves.
I was at a store a couple of weeks back and opened my door and just barely bumped the car next to me, the guy in it got out and checked the door I bumped and said something about a scratch. I looked at it and told him there was no scratch. This would not have happened before but Whites are brave and they act like they are just, "sick of our shit" and lump all of us together. When Whites commit a crime they are taken as individuals whereas we are looked at as a group. That's the vibe this bitchass gave off. My wife was ticked and I was amused. He felt brave until I told him his car was fine and walked off.
The way I was treated at Girl Scouts is another example of how brave White folks have gotten and mouthy White women can get.
Yeah, it's only started and USA Incorporated deserves it.

CEO Obama could fix this.

You can always tell when election season is upon us in United States Incorporated. First Nations people are actually spoken about. We are mentioned on television and in print! This year is a tad different because of what is breaking loose at the Standing Rock reservation.
If you are unaware of what is happening on the Standing Rock reservation I will now give you a quick rundown. This is a story that is as old as USA Incorporated itself. First Nations people are in the way of White folks ‘progress’ which as we all know really means White folks money. Anything that has to do with Indians or even Brown folks in general, is not about safety, (think the Wall Trump wants to build) is not about progress, (this pipeline), equality. Everything this government has ever given us, everything that White folks have shared has basically boiled down to money and how they can make and get more. Since the first invaders came here and had the damned nerve to set up a colony, even before they renamed Turtle Island “America” she has had a Indian Problem. The problem is we exist and we are the rightful caretakers of this entire continent. Not owners, that is a European idea which like Christianity did not exist here before 1492. As caretakers we are responsible for the land and everything ON and IN it. There is the real problem. There are minerals and resources that can add to the wealth and therefore the domination that US INC enjoys in this world.
The Standing Rock reservation is in the way of the Dakota Access Pipeline which is a 1,172 mile, 30 inch in diameter pipeline that connects the Bakken and Three Fork oil fields or “production areas” as the owners refer to it as, in North Dakota to Patoka, Illinois. It is expected to transport approximately 470,000 barrels of oil per day but have a capacity as high as 570,000 barrels or more. This line will open up access to markets in the Midwest and East Coast and even the Gulf Coast. Energy Transfer Crude Oil Company, LLC presents this pipeline as a domestic wet dream in terms of belong to save us from dependency on foreign oil and they promise “that it is responsible, cost effective and safe.” Of course you can trust big oil so what is really the problem here? I’m being sarcastic of course but it doesn’t always translate in the written word.
At first the pipeline was set to run a different route all together from where it is now which is upstream of the Standing Rock Lakota people’s land. It was supposed to run south of Bismark which is the North Dakota capital. The problem with that route is that it is primarily populate by precious White people and not dirty Earth worshiping Indians. (More sarcasm). That my friends is what is called ENVIRONMENTAL RACISM.
Dave Archambault II, chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, said in a statement, “This pipeline was rerouted towards our tribal nations when other citizens of North Dakota rightfully rejected it in the interests of protecting their communities and water. We seek the same consideration as those citizens. It’s disappointing to see our state and federal officials advance their corporate, pro-Big Oil energy platform here in North Dakota at the expense of human health, safety and tribal sovereignty.
We are citizens here in USA INC after all and it is a tad ironic that we are looking to be treated and recognized and granted the same accommodations as citizens of this nation when the president who enacted the law that granted First Nations people citizenship was adopted into the Standing Rock Lakota people.
Get ready for a history/law lesson!
Outright mass murder of Indians became politically unpalatable for White people much like slavery became politically injurious for North America’s status in the world and so it was stopped . USA INC has had an Indian problem since expansion and of the many methods that have been enacted to rid itself of this problem the most effective one that cut what little authority we had over ourselves was making us citizens on the very land that we have been caretakers of since before there was ever a homo-sapien populated Europe.
The American Indian Citizenship Act of 1924 was enacted in order to further assimiliate us and make us recognize Washington’s “Great White Father” as more improtatn and more powerful than any chief or leader we may have had within the boundries of our tribe. Traditional Indian governements were a huge problem for USA INC but making us citizens made USA INC look gracuous and kind there was another motive behind it.
Calvin Coolidge was the president who signed our citizenship into law and he was also the president who was very instrumental in forming the League of Nations, this is important to remember. In the League of Nations if your nationality is different or seperate from the organizing nations of the League you had the potential to be a major problem. The Basque and Corsica people of France had the ability to bring all of it’s grievences with France before the members of the League because they were not French citizens. How do you solve that problem? Make them citizens. The same exact thing happened here. If Indians could take all of the issues they faced at the hands of this government USA INC’s cache around the world would sink. Coolidge could not let that happen so BAMO we were citizens. When we became citizens the territorial integrity of USA Incorporated was consolidated and all land claims against USA Incorporated therefore became an internal manner and therefore not up for discussion or debate. Also as citizens Indians were now bound by rules set forth by the Congress, the courts and of course the President in a manner the obviously biased them in favor of USA Incorporated. So while the word sovereignty is bandied about when it comes to Indians it is not the truth. The truth of reservations is the USA Incorporated holds the land in trust or for the benefit of Indian people. This is why the corporation that owns the pipeline can move the pipeline as they see fit on Lakota territory and not worry about the consequences from the government. The fact that we began to protest and that the protest began to get so much support was not on the radar of the company.
For making us citizens and to show how grateful Indian people were the Standing Rock Lakota adopted Calvin Coolidge and gave him a headdress and everything! Flash forward to the White House Tribal Nations Conference in Washington DC and here we have Barack Obama, CEO of USA Incorporated, and he is wearing a headdress just like Coolidge. Isn’t it ironic that the same reservation that is attempting to protect itself from the Big Oil wing of USA Incorporated is the very same reservation that just a few months ago adopted CEO Obama?

CEO Obama did not take his adoption and his gift of a symbolic leadership seriously because if he did this protest would not be taking place. He is in the midst of his lame duck part of his presidency and so honestly he could give a big middle finger to the big oil but he just doesn’t give a damn.

It's in the genes

When I was at Eastern Michigan University back in the early 1990's I had a professor, Eastern Band Cherokee man named Ron Lewis, or Professor as I called him, He arrived in my second year at EMU and during this time I was the president of the Native American Student Association and I asked him to be our staff guide. We had a little old White woman as our guide but why the hell would we keep her when we could have an actual NDN be our representative? I really liked Professor Lewis, he was a real intellectual and he was traditional in his people's ways. He had a appreciation for Anishinaabe culture and as such he respected the fact that he was an outsider within Anishinaabe country. I wanted to introduce him to the other student groups at the Multi-Cultural center and so I set it up for him to give a little talk. A sort of Town Hall for the people of color on campus.
Professor Lewis delivered and then some. He said something during his talk that has stuck with me ever since then. He said, 'The more that we act like White people, the more that we embrace their way of thinking, the faster we will bring about our own demise." Strong and powerful words that I needed him to elaborate on further and that's what he did with the time constraints he had at the time.
What he was talking about was the mindset of the majority of Europeans. I'm talking about both the historical and the contemporary European. Thousands of books, papers, blogs, documentaries and all manner of information has been sent out into the ether about what happened when Europeans arrived here and invaded. The majority of the information focuses on the tangible, the physical hell that was wrought on us, the Original People, by the invaders. The theft of land, the diseases, the rape, the kidnapping, the genocidal policies, the assimilation and destruction of our language our culture and even our God. The thing I do not read very much about is the mindset of the European. Yeah there are volumes written about White Supremacy but I am talking about something deeper than that. I am talking about the insidious nature that makes up the thought process that has created audacity, greed, selfishness, arrogance, willful ignorance and even cognitive dissonance.
It would be stupid to write that none of that existed here on Turtle Island before Europeans got here but like the slavery that was unique to this nation, it was never on the level and the ferocity that was and is seen now. The brutality that accompanies White people wherever they go is unique to White people. Genghis Khan and any of the other Khans did not wreak quite the havoc that has been inflicted upon the First Nations people of Turtle Island and the Africans who were stolen from their homelands and brought here to build this stolen nation. Makes me think of Proverbs chapter 23, verse 7: "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" Yeah I quoted the bible, name an NDN that you know that has not had that book beaten into their head.....
I describe wannabes as White people who have a slight conscious about what has happened to First Nations people and they can empathise with our condition. Mind you it is the condition that their ancestors put us in and it is the same condition that they benefit from because we are in it. They hate our condition so much that they begin to claim our ancestory as their own. This is where it gets so frustrating for me. The claims are usually just family rumor and have no basis in reality. There are the claims of the records for the proof of relations to a certain tribe, the top three being Cherokee, Chippewa and Sioux, being lost to history or burned in a court house fire or, my personal favorite, it was dangerous to be a ndn back then and to claim it would bring trouble and so those who could pass for White would say they were. No doubt that has happened. It happens today in my own family however it was really not the pervasive as they would have you think. It's always the grandmother who didn't speak about it or the great-grandmother who hid it from the rest of the family because she wished for a better life for her kids. All bullshit.
Ever pause and ask why it is always the grandmother? Why is it always the female? Most prominent reason is that the very thought of a big brown savage putting his big brown pecker into a tiny, virtious, virginal, pure White woman is sickening. Secondly there is the assumption that the female is the fairer sex and therefore is the "good" part of the ndn bloodline. This is part of that White thinking that is nothing like our way of thinking.
There is a story, not told very often, among some Anisnabe people, about a certain group of people within the tribe that had begun to be selfish and greedy. They did not follow the ways of the people and were mean and without honor. They were thieves, they murdered, they were contrary with no reason or logic behind their actions. These people were then sent away, North, and they were banished from associating with the people because it was recognized that their ways, their thoughts were a danger to a society that depended on the ability to work with one another in order to survive. Being polite as most elders are it is not mentioned that these banished people became the White people that we know today. I can so see this as true.
So wannabes claim an First Nations ancestry and will begin to research and read about their supposed tribe and then want to help. They become activists and begin attending protests or even hold their own protests and they begin attending gatherings and soon they are making their own regalia and dancing at pow wow's. Some even go so far as to begin teaching about ndn people and go to schools in full blown regalia and talk about, "My people's ways". The damage done by this is immense because it comes from books that are written by other wannabes or it comes wholesale from their ass. If they don't know the answer they make it up. I cringe every time I see a newspaper article about a ndn coming to teach at a school and I see a White person playing dress up.
Besides bringing a sense of selfishness to our community these wannabes also bring their screwed up conservative politics.
Think on this: Before we were invaded by Whites, there were no locks on our doors, no private property, no beggars, no sense of private possessions, no jails, no police, no "elite" class, no homophobia, no racism, no class ism, no sexism, no self hate, no pollution and yet, they, the invaders, called us savages.
They come among us with their sexism, talking about women as if they really respect them but their actions are different. They speak of unity among the races but their actions are different. They are quick to speak ill of Backs and they also make a differentiation between North American First Nations people and South American First Nations people. They talk about the sinking of this nation and will mention immigration. Actually have the damn nerve to speak about "immigrants" without a shred of irony when they know full well they are the descendants of immigrants to this nation
Wannabes cannot fathom that within our ways there is no left right paradigm. There is no conservatives and there are no liberals. We look at the "Founding Fathers" as slave owning Indian killers BECAUSE THEY ARE, we look at the flag as a symbol of genocide and evil not just to us but to every Brown and Black people the world over.
The mindset has invaded us to such an extent that many of us do not even know we have been colonized. We know some  of these people in a close manner and therefore think of them as harmless or as maybe misguided and unaware of what they are doing but that does not make the damage they are doing less just because they might be nice.
It's time we re-group among ourselves and heal what has been broken then we can get together and teach others OUR ways so that the planet can be saved. There must be a reckoning within our own people about what is really our way and what is a bastardized version of our ways.

To Protect (what) and Serve (who)?

In the past two weeks racial tensions have exploded in this nation. Alton Sterling was shot in the chest while two cops were holding him down. All of it caught on tape. Philandro Castile was shot while the passenger of his girlfriends car for reaching for his wallet, which the policeman asked him to show i.d., after telling the officer he had a weapon and a permit for it. The aftermath was caught on Facebook live stream. America and the world got to witness what has been going on since this nation was founded. Brown and Black people being cut down by the people we pay our taxes to so that they can "serve and protect". I pose this question: Who are you serving and WHAT are you protecting?
In America we have police who act on impulse and panic while we, the citizens, are to remain calm and follow directions while a gun is pointed in our face. Makes no sense.

You can't drink money

There is the cold science behind water. Like the human body is 72% water, going without water causes dehydration which can lead to allergies, colitis, asthma, constipation, migraines, rheumatoid arthritis and many more diseases. Water protects your heart, boosts your brain, helps with weight management and loss and keeps you alert. Obviously very important. That's the law of science. We as Original people can and should respect the law of science. It is ever changing as our understanding and scientific advancements deepens, however we as Original people came here on this Earth with original instructions, The very first instruction is to take care of our Mother Earth. We refer to her as mother because she provides for all of our needs if we work in conjunction with her, Like our relationship with The Creator Of All Natural Things (TCOANT), we are provided for as long as we put in work also. We fear the Earth like one should fear the sun, it is a respectful fear. Respectful of it's power. We are in awe that if we plant a seed and nurture it, keep it sheltered and watered it will grow into food to nourish us. We are in awe of the remarkable miracle of how that life is created. It's not a worship it is a respect and that is how we view water because it is so life giving and sustaining to us. It just makes sense to protect and care for water.

This is one of the issues we have with Whites and those in government. They know and understand how important water is to life, they are fully cognizant of how much we need water to survive. They are the ones who came up with the hard data and science of water. However they are the chief poisoners of water. From fracking to nuclear waste, from toxic chemicals to directing water away from needed areas they have no respect for the sacred and the only thing that matters is money.
Two Anishinawbe (Ojibaw word meaning Original People) Grandmothers, and a group of Anishinawbe Women and Men have taken action regarding the water issue by walking the perimeter of the Great Lakes. In 2003 the first Women's Water Walk took place as the grandmothers and sisters of different clans came together to raise awareness of the clean air and clean water being polluted by chemicals from motor boats, vehicle emissions, sewage disposal, agricultural pollution, leaking landfills and residential usage and the toll it was taking on this vital resource. We are taught from an early age that water is sacred and one of the most basic elements for life to exist.
The walk is done in the spring because of the natural re-growth of our natural habitat and because spring is a time for renewal, re-birth and re-growth.

Water is life giving and so are women, therefore women have traditionally held the position of keeper of the water and water carriers. Symbolically showing the symbiotic relationship they hold in importance of life to continue and exists on this planet.
Both are under attack.

Josephine Mandamin, a Grandmother and Water Walker has said, "Water is amazing, it flows where it wants to, it can go through any crack, crook or cranny. It can sing the most beautiful songs, if you listen well. She can sound like a male voice, especially during huge waves. It ebbs and flows leaving us messages in her journey throughout life. We are connected and united to life with water, and as we are all united by water; it seems we must be conscious of all things united. This connections or linkage helps us understand life and what it gives to humans, nature and animals. We are all so connected, so united with/by water. It is all life.

To see how water can mold itself to any situation, we can see it in any shape we put it in: jars, small containers, huge gallons - it flows to any shape or form. We are all connected by water and as we are all of water: 70 or 80% of our body mass, why can't we flow like the water? to unite ourselves with each other, to sing like the water, to think like the water, to be of one conscious entity? Why can't we? IF we could be, we will be one big ocean of love, kindness, respect, united and jelled together as one, we will be the generation to save our Mother.

Science is slowly catching up to our anishinabe thinking about our natural laws as governed to us by Creation/Creator. Our duty and responsibility is to our Mother's care and well being. The common denominator of life is Water. In our Mide Lodge we know all this from the teachings and oral inscriptions left by our ancestors, but we have not been vocal enough to tell the world and science that we know what they are collecting as new science. It is not new knowledge, or new understanding. it's been around as long as our Mide ancestors have been on this Mother earth. Our ancestors knew where water comes from, whence it flows, and how it flows. This is all understood in our waters songs and Lodge creation story."

Both are under attack. In Canada there are over 1200 murdered and missing Original women, in America the acounts of murdered and missing Native women is on the rise, the number of Native women being sold into sexual slavery is on the rise, the number of Black women is 64, 000. Sixty Four THOUSAND. Our women and our water are under attack and believe me when I tell you that it is not an accident. Keepers of the people and a vital element to sustain our people are being poisoned and are disappearing.

40 % of Navajo people in Navajo land live without running water. 60% of the homes on Pine are severely substandard without water, electricity, adequate insulation and sewage systems.

Chicago is over 30% Black and since the great influx of Blacks in the 1940's and forward the majority have moved into housing units often referred to as "projects". A good example of enviromental racism is the Altgeld Gardens a housing community on the south side of Chicago that was built in 1945 on an abandoned landfill to accommodate returning Blacks from World War 2. It is surrounded by 53 toxic facilities and 90% of the city's landfills. 90% of it;s population is Black and 65% live below the poverty level. The known toxins are mercury, amonia gas, lead, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH's), heavy metals and xylene all known to be poison to life.A study by teh Illinois Public Health Sector revealed excessive rates of prostate, bladder, and lung cancer. Other medical records show high rates of children born with brain tumors, fetuses that had to be aborted when tests revealed children developing with their brains outside of the skull and higher rates of asthma, ringworm and other ailments.

Chester, Pennsylvania, provides an example of "social, political, and economic forces that shape the disproportionate distribution of environmental hazards in poor communities of color". Chester is located in Delaware County, an area with a population of 500,000 that, excluding Chester, is 91% white. Chester, however, is 65% Black, with the highest minority population and poverty rate in Delaware County, and recipient of a disproportionate amount of environmental risks and hazards.
Chester has five large waste facilities including a trash incinerator, a medical waste incinerator, and a sewage treatment plant. These waste sites in Chester have a total permitted capacity of 2 million tons of waste per year while the rest of Delaware County has a capacity of merely 1,400 tons per year. One of the waste sites located in Chester is the Westinghouse incinerator, which burns all of the municipal waste from the entire county and surrounding states. These numerous waste facilities have posed negative health risks to the citizens of Chester, as the cancer rate in this area is 2.5 times higher than it is anywhere else in Pennsylvania. Also, the mortality rate is 40% higher than the rest of Delaware county and the child mortality rate is the highest. The clustering of all of these polluting facilities in Chester points to environmental racism. (Cole, Luke and Foster, Sheila. 2001. From the Ground Up: Environmental Racism and the Rise of Environmental Justice Movement. New York: New York University Press.)

New Orleans, Louisiana, has been cited as an example of past environmental racism. At the time of Hurricane Katrina, 60.5% of New Orleans residents were African American—nearly 50% higher than the rest of the United States. Pre-existing racial disparities in wealth within New Orleans worsened the outcome of Hurricane Katrina for minority populations. Institutionalized racial segregation of neighborhoods left minority members more likely to live in low-lying areas that were more vulnerable to the devastating effects of the Hurricane. Additionally, hurricane evacuation plans relied heavily on the use of cars and personal vehicles. However, because minority populations are less likely to own cars, some people had no choice but to stay behind, while white majority communities were able to escape. A report commissioned by the U.S. House of Representatives found that political leaders failed to consider the fact that "100,000 city residents had no cars and relied on public transit", and the city's failure to complete its mandatory evacuation led to hundreds of deaths. How could anyone deny that race was not a factor in the slow response and lack of accountability?

In 2007, NPR featured a class action lawsuit filed by Sheila Holt-Orsted of Dickson, Tennessee, against local waste treatment agencies. The well where the Holt family got their drinking water was only 500 feet away from a toxic landfill. They continued to use this well, unaware of any problems, for nine years. Although some of Holt-Orsted's neighbors were notified within 48 hours of the discovery, officials continued to tell the Holt family that there was no problem. The neighbors who were notified were White, the Holt family is Black. This is just one small exaple of the disparities in treatment by race. By the time the Holt family was informed that the water they had been drinking, showering in, and cooking with for years was contaminated with cancer-causing agents, they had already incurred a great amount of personal damage. Sheila Holt-Orsted suffered from stage 2 breast cancer, and she also lost her father Harry Holt to cancer in 2007. Four additional Holt family members suffered from various other illnesses. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Sheila Holt-Orsted and Beatrice Holt settled a lawsuit brought against the City and County of Dickson and three private companies to re mediate the public health and environmental risks posed by the contamination. Under the settlement, $5 million will be set aside to investigate and re mediate risks associated with the contamination, including by providing public water to local residents in the risk area. Under a separate settlement, the Holt family will receive $1.9 million in compensation for their injuries. Ask yourself, what is 1.9 million dollars to these corporations that knowingly poison people of color when they themselves are worth untold billions? How much is your life worth? or the life of your child or parent or spouse or sibling? Is 1.9 million dollars going to cover the relationship you have with your family? Of course not.

The International Tribunal of Indigenous People and Oppressed Nations, convened in 1992, established to examine the history of criminal activity against indigenous groups in the United States, published a Significant Bill of Particulars outlining grievances indigenous peoples had with the U.S., including allegations that the United States “deliberately and systematically permitted, aided, and abetted, solicited and conspired to commit the dumping, transportation, and location of nuclear, toxic, medical, and otherwise hazardous waste materials on Native American territories in North America and has thus created a clear and present danger to the health, safety, and physical and mental well-being of Native American People” "Indictment of the Federal Government of the U.S. for the commission of international crimes and petition for orders mandating its proscription and dissolution as an international criminal conspiracy and criminal organization.")

All of this is going on and we move on to Flint Michigan. Beginning in April 2014. After Flint, on order from Republican Governor Rick Snyder and his team of Republican administrators, changed its water source from treated Detroit Water and Sewerage Department water (which was sourced from Lake Huron as well as the Detroit River) to the Flint River, its drinking water had a series of problems that culminated with lead contamination, creating a public health danger. The corrosive Flint River water caused lead from aging pipes to leach into the water supply, causing extremely elevated levels of lead. In Flint, between 6,000 and 12,000 children have severely high levels of lead in the blood and experienced a range of serious health problems. The water change is also a possible cause of an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in the county that has killed 10 people and affected another 77. You read that right, ten people are dead and another 77 are infected with Legionaires disease.
That was in April of 2014 flash forward to November of 2015. That was when four families filed a class action suit against Governor Snyder and other state officials, then two months later three separate people also filed suit followed by four more law suits later, The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan and the Michigan Attorney General office opened investigations. Snyder knew what was coming, Snyder knew what was happening and being done to the population of Flint the entire time and so on January 5th 2016 he declared Flint to be in a state of emergency. President Obama declared teh crisis a federal state of emergency and authorized additional help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

Four government officials—one from the City of Flint, two from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and one from the Environmental Protection Agency—resigned over the mishandling of the crisis. Snyder issued an apology to citizens and promised to fix the problem, and later sent $28 million to Flint for supplies, medical care and infrastructure upgrades.
Starting in 2010, Genesee County had spearheaded the development of the Karegnondi Water Authority (KWA) to supply it and Lapeer and Sanilac counties—plus the cities of Lapeer and Flint—with water. On March 25, 2013, Flint City Council voted 7-1 to approve the purchase of 16 million gallons per day from the KWA rather than go with Flint River water as a permanent supply.Flint emergency manager (EM) Ed Kurtz and Mayor Dayne Walling approved that on March 29 and forwarded the action for the State Treasurer for approval.

The DWSD, on April 1, sent out a press release demanding the state should block Flint's request as it would hurt Detroit Water and start a water war and in the press release said that "any claim that it would save the cash-strapped city money is specious". The release also put out several options for Flint, including sale of raw untreated water. Genesee County Drain commissioner Wright, after accusing the DWSD of negotiating through the media, replied, "It would be unprecedented for the state to force one community to enter into an agreement with another, simply to artificially help one community at the other's expense. This is exactly what the (Detroit Water and Sewerage Department) is arguing should be done."

Regardless on April 15, State Treasurer Andy Dillon gave approval to Kurtz to enter into a water purchase contract with the KWA. EM Kurtz signed the KWA water purchase agreement on April 16. On April 17, the Detroit Water and Sewer Department gave its one-year termination notice to the city just days after the County and City rejected the DWSD's last offer. The DWSD also expected that Flint pay them for past investments in the water system that benefited regional customers; Flint and Genesee County rejected such responsibility, although they indicated willingness to purchase some of the pipeline. Governor Snyder called a meeting of the three parties for April 19 to discuss those and other issues related to the KWA project.

In late April 2014, in an effort to save about $5 million over less than two years, the city switched from purchasing treated Lake Huron water from Detroit, like they have done for 50 years, to treating water from the Flint River. The plan was to attach to the Karegnondi system, which was under construction, and would be completed three years later. The Flint River had been the designated backup water source for years. In December 2014, the city had invested $4 million into its water plant.

In January 2015, a public meeting was held, where citizens complained about the "bad water." Residents complained about the taste, smell and appearance of the water for 18 months before a Flint physician found highly elevated blood lead levels in the children of Flint while the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality boldly lied and  insisted the water was safe to drink. It was determined that the river water, which, due to higher chloride concentration, is more corrosive than the lake water, was leaching lead from aging pipes.

While the local outcry about Flint water quality was building in early 2015, Flint water officials filed papers with state regulators purporting to show that "tests at Flint's water treatment plant had detected no lead and testing in homes had registered lead at acceptable levels. This was ALL lies.
"The documents falsely claim that the city had tested tap water from homes with lead service lines, and therefore the highest lead-poisoning risks; in reality; the city does not know the locations of lead service lines, which city officials acknowledged in November 2015 after the Flint Journal/MLive published an article revealing the practice after obtaining documents through the Michigan Freedom of Information Act.The Journal/MLive reported that the city had "disregarded federal rules requiring it to seek out homes with lead plumbing for testing, potentially leading the city and state to underestimate for months the extent of toxic lead leaching into Flint's tap water." (Robin Erb, Flint doctor makes state see light about lead in water, Detroit Free Press (October 12, 2015).

I need to make something clear here. When I say 'Detroit water" and how Flint was using "Detroit water" It is only filtered and treated at the Detroit Water Plant. The water itself comes from Lake Huron, the third largest body of fresh water in the world. It is a glacial lake formed over 10,000 years ago during the last Ice Age and it is still fed by pure underground springs. Flint is geographically the last place on Earth where one should be drinking poisoned water.

The people are suffering with rashes, hair loss, diarrhea and numerous other problems. When you go get water you must have I.D., which disenfranchises many Black and Brown families, and you only get ONE case of water. With this one case you are to bathe, cook and clean. The Red Cross and the United Way ask for I.D. What happens when you don't have an I.D.? You get no water. You get no relief.

On Saturday the 30th of January Student Minister Abel Muhammad and other brothers from Chicago's Mosque Maryam came to Flint for the second time in as many weeks with two van loads of water. Myself a sister named Lisa and Detroit Rap Artist Soufy joined them and we went into the neighborhoods, knocked on doors and passed out cases of water. We all are men of God and faith without works is dead. Our mission is among our people and that is where we went. We served Brown, Black and White people. There were spontaneous eruptions of prayers, tears of joy, disbelief and wonder. One woman was taking care of a seven month old baby and was telling me the baby had broken out in the rash. I asked how much water she needed and she told me, "I could use a lot. Maybe two cases?" I made the executive decision, ha ha!, and she got eight and three packages of baby wipes. Another brother who did not speak English took the water with tears burning his eyes and he kept repeating 'gracias' over and over. One house had 8 people living in it and so what little groceries we had we gave him those and eight cases of water. He asked, "Who are you guys? Are you all Muslims?" I told him, "We are your brothers"

This is the government that has a pipeline from kindergarten to prison, this is the government, filthy with devils, that enact laws to further oppress us, this is the government that employs killer cops, this is the government that gives aid to a nation that knowingly kills with precision strikes little Brown children in Palestine, this is the government that will not give you a proper education. This is the government that poisoned us in the first place are we supposed to expect them to take care of us? Minister Farrakhan asked for 10,000 to step up and take care of OUR neighborhoods. It put the fear of God into White's when he said that but when it was put into action we were the one's passing out water to our people.

Flint is not the only place to face a crisis like this. St. Joseph in Louisiana faces the same issues.
It's not enough. See the devil is real and the devil is tricky and the devil is selfish, arrogant, greedy and a killer. Switching the pipeline was a money saving measure. I will never be convinced that Snyder and his administrators were not warned beforehand of the danger of Flint's water. They knew, they noticed that Flint is 60% Black and they calculated the health risks to mostly Original people and decided to go with the money.  With these devils it is always about the money.
